I agree with the wood texture comment. Or maybe it could also resemble something marbly? purplish? dunno. just a suggestion. either or it looks great overall.
purplish, as nicole said, sounds interesting. I think marble would be cool, and even wood grain could be pushed towards a purple neutral, rather than out-of-the-tube-brown, to play off the green and red.

looks good- like the color ideas outlined in the description--can we think more creatively about the stage lighting and skin color?

it looks cool with color added, but i think a few changes could make it look better.
i think coloring in a few folds in the half circled fabric at the top of the border would look better.
i also think the pillars in the boarder might look better if they were brown- like if they had a wood grain texture to them.

I agree with both of you guys so far.... we should mention it to joe that this outline is simplified and at a larger scale we can add such details
